Support Our Work

The Golden Valley Crime Prevention Fund has been an extraordinary resource for crime prevention and building trust between the community and the police.

The fund is comprised of donations from city residents and businesses. The fund is administered by the board of volunteer directors representing various community groups in the city. The board determines how to allocate the funds to best reduce crime by offering rewards, awarding scholarships, supporting community safety programs and highlighting the incredible work done by the Golden Valley Police Department.

A majority of the funds go toward the GVCPF mission. A small portion covers the cost of the fund-raising mailer. The GVCPF has no paid staff.

I worked for the Golden Valley Police Department (GVPD) for 23 years in a variety of roles, including Community Service Officer, Administrative Assistant and Police Operations Supervisor. I love the Golden Valley community and enjoyed providing service to the wonderful residents and business owners for so many years.

I have developed relationships and friendships with many great people through my work with the Crime Prevention Fund Board, the former Civil Service Commission and multiple community outreach events and programs offered by the GVPD.
